Maple Syrup Sweetened Chocolate Chip Cookies
On our way to New Jersey I ordered a few bags of chocolate chips made by the author of my diet book of choice, The Warrior Diet, Ori Hofmekler. Sarah’s grandmother caught me eating a few of the chips and gave me a firm reprimand. She said I better make her some cookies, so I did. Here is the recipe I used.

Ingredients
1/3 cup melted butter (my favorite is GHEE)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 egg yolk (not whole egg)
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter pan.
Whisk butter + maple + yolk + vanilla.
Stir in dry ingredients + chips.
Chill 45 min.
Bake 9–11 min. Bake until edges are perfectly browned.
Cool fully for crisp edges.
