Meet Hagrid – the new Maine State Record giant tomato. This was my first year growing giant tomatoes, and aside from picking out a seed with good genetics, I had no idea what I was doing.  Hagrid just appeared one day without any interventions on my end, and he grew to be 5.19 pounds! This is a low-maintenance plant that can produce some huge tomatoes for competition, showing off, or eating!

1. Five giant tomato seeds from one of my smaller tomatoes (with great genetics that will be listed on the package), or

2. Five Atlantic giant pumpkin seeds. These are intended to be used to practice your germination technique, but many people have grown huge pumpkins off these seeds. Some seeds may have dry mold on their coats or be discolored, but this is cosmetic and won’t affect germination. Most seeds have 2000+ pound genetics in their lineage. Some seeds were open-pollinated, so there is a chance they may produce a funky hybrid fruit. Have fun and see what you get!
