A marrow is essentially a zucchini that grows on a vine. It has a shorter growing season than a giant pumpkin, and you can start seeds in early June.

Donkey is a marrow with world-class genetics. In its family tree you’ll find the 256 Sjodin (world record) and the 235 Baggs, one of the most proven marrow seeds in the world. The plant that produced Donkey also grew a 92-pound marrow that broke the Maine state record. Donkey’s pollinator was the 116 Whitty, which produced a 162.5-pound marrow that would have broken the U.S. record if not for a small blossom-end split.
