511 Pound Giant Green Squash Seeds - "Shrek" - 3 seeds
511 Pound Giant Green Squash Seeds - "Shrek" - 3 seeds
(1997 Tobeck x self)
Don’t judge Shrek by his size. His pedigree is world-class. He’s a self-pollination of the 1997 Tobeck, the 4th largest squash in the world at the time it was grown. The 1997 Tobeck’s mother is the 1109 Jutras, arguably the most proven squash seed in history. That seed appears in the genetics of 7 of the 10 biggest squash ever grown. By self-pollinating, Shrek locked in those elite genetics for the next generation. So why wasn’t he bigger? Grower error. I over-fertilized and raised the soil’s EC (salt content), which stressed the plant and limited growth. Even so, the seeds inside carry the same world-class lineage, ready to reach their true potential in the right conditions.
*3 seeds per packet.
*Each seed order comes with a FREE gift of your choosing:
Five giant tomato seeds (with great genetics that will be listed on the package), or
Five Atlantic giant pumpkin seeds. These are intended to be used to practice your germination technique, but many people have grown huge pumpkins off these seeds. Some seeds may have dry mold on their coats or be discolored, but this is cosmetic and won’t affect germination. Most seeds have 2000+ pound genetics in their lineage. Some seeds were open-pollinated, so there is a chance they may produce a funky hybrid fruit. Have fun and see what you get!
*Each order also comes with a FREE beginner’s “How to Grow” guide.
*All seeds have been through germination testing. Older seeds may take longer to germinate, and the most common cause of germination failure is soil that is too wet or too cold. All sales are final, and germination cannot be guaranteed.
*There is no guarantee that your seed will produce the same size, shape, or color of the squash in the photo, for the same reason children don’t look exactly like their parents (genetics allow for variability in traits).
